🎶 We were part of an exciting event on 23 September 2024 at the Kodály Zoltán Primary School in Nyíregyháza, where Soma Szabó, Liszt Prize-winning conductor, gave his music history lecture "Renaissance: the birth of perspective". The event was closely linked to the first concert of the 24/25 season of the Cantemus Choir Competition, entitled "LACRIMAE - the voices of the Renaissance Church".
Renaissance music is not only about the mastery of harmonies, but also about the new approaches to the visual arts that shaped the history of composition. Soma Szabó was able to give a sense of the historical context and aesthetic innovations behind the music performed, enriching the audience's knowledge.
